TK1 Folding Electric Trike

Rear fenders poor design imo. Removed rear basket to gain access, put pieces of rubber inner tube to keep them from slipping. The TK1 I bought a year ago had more screws to mount but was sturdier with welded bracket.

Didn’t receive the $200 gift accessory pack because I received a Veteran discount. 1st time I’ve been “punished” for being a Veteran. So, you can either receive a “gift pack” for Black Friday or sign up to sacrifice your life for your country to get that amount discounted instead. NOT BOTH GTFOH

I love my Mooncool. Getting in my exercise and enjoying being outdoors although I’m not riding as much these days due to such cold weather. I looked at many other trikes and purchased this one due to it being 95% assembled. It did not disappoint as the assembly required was fairly easy. If you’re looking for an E-trike this is the one to buy

I have owned my TK1 Folding for only four months, and have enjoyed every moment spent riding. BUT...I was very disappointed when Mooncool came out with the TK1 Pro. If only they had that model available when I made my purchase.

Now I feel like trying to sell my TK1 Folding to get the upgraded "Pro". The additions to the Pro are well worth the $400.00 price increase. I have thought of upgrading my battery from the 14.5ah to the 20ah, which is in itself a $400.00 Mooncool purchase ($399.99 to be exact). The Pro comes with that battery, plus a 750 watt motor (vs the 500 watt), derailleur, what looks like upgraded brakes, along with few other additional changes.

I actually wish that Mooncool offered an upgrade kit for TK1 Folding owners. I would like, at the least, the upgraded battery and the 750w motor. Even though it wouldn't give me any additional speed to speak of (which I think is greatly needed), but it would make hill climbing roads easier with my 250 lb. weight.

Oh well, I guess I have to sell my TK1 Folding, and then buy the Pro, or talk to a bike shop about making my desired upgrades. I don't have the room, or the need, for two electric trikes.

The trike is fantastic. Love it. Short learning curve. Does exactly what I need. Side note: I ordered the upgraded seat for approx $50. I did not like it. I was very disappointed that they said return was expensive and I should give it to someone and they would give me a $10 credit. I have several other accessories I would like to have but I won't be ordering from mooncool. But the bike is great!

My son put it together with ease, but couldn't install rear tire fenders due to not having correct tool to take tires off to install fenders. The $200. Mystery box consisted of the MCTrike accessories, worth $119.99, a helmet or better seat would of been nice.
Anxious to ride it.
