TK Pro Electric Trike

Ordered my silver TK Pro on a Monday and it arrived and I had it unboxed by that Friday. Arrived in perfect condition and looks beautiful. The silver looks good in the matte finish.

My wife has had a competing trike brand for over a year and she loves it. I had been riding a semi-recumbent electric conversion for a few years but feel less stable on it as I'm getting older. I had a specific set of features I wanted if I was going to get into a trike. The TK Pro has them all and is very nicely integrated. Have been riding it for a few days and I love everything about it with a few minor suggestions.

The power is solid. I was planning on walking up a dirt hillside path that was pretty steep, but the TK1 Pro rode up it without a bit of hesitation. Cruising is great and the 6th gear eliminates ghosting at top end though I wish it was geared just a bit higher or had a 7th to slow the pedaling. The trike is quiet and the feature-packed display is nice and bright, even with polarized sunglasses (even dimmed for the headlight mode).

The tail lights, brake lights and turn signals are super bright which is great for road riding and why I keep the headlight on in daytime.

The shock-absorbing fork works very nice, but the seat definitely needs a shock-absorbing post. Many are available and I purchased one to get back the cushy ride I had with my prior soft-tail e-bike. The seat itself is comfortable, but the backrest is too close to the seat for me, not allowing me to sit all the way back in the saddle, so I just removed it and use the back frame to hold my helmet when I take it off.

It may be just me getting used to it, but prior e-bikes with throttles had the throttle de-coupled from the PAS setting so that you could apply full power if needed in an emergency or on a hill, even if in PAS 1. That would be preferred. But using the torque sensing pedals, I was able to get used to higher PAS settings most of the time. This is a great trike and totally satisfied with the purchase. Had a few questions with customer support on email and they were very responsive and helpful.

One minor thing I noticed was some slack in the chain from the motor to the axle, and I had to make that adjustment to the idler pulley though no service info for that in the manual. Also, the tail light wires need to be zip-tied on the side of the fender bracket away from the tire.

I bought this E-bike in December 2024 from Mooncool in Texas that came 85% assembled plus the bonus pkg of mirrors, zippered baskets, water bottle holder, cell phone holder, etc. We had some issues with the chain falling off numerous times and we contacted the service folks who sent us a replacement chain tightening kit but still had issues. We called E-Station Bikes in Sarasota,Florida since they were a subcontractor for Mooncool. The came to our home and picked up the Trike and took it to their shop. It took a month to repair plus fabricating a heavier duty chain and returned the Trike repaired. I paid the repair bill and Mooncool refunded my money since the Trike was under warranty. My wife had been riding her trike since April and showing it around the neighborhood with 4 (3 TK1 and one TK1 Pro) neighbors purchasing theirs. Great job guys. Highly recommend this business.

Great trike , love it ,my dog loves riding in the back, put a dresser drawer on the back to make it a little bigger, more room for my buddy Twig!

Been out riding on the days I could weather wise. When I got the bike, my daughter helped me put it together & I have been SO happy with it.
I got a new seat.
I have an oxygen backpack that wasn't agreeable with the seat back.
A removable back would be a perfect change for this bike.

The only apparent missing part was the screw for the light on the front basket, so no front basket for now.
There was damage to the rear left fender but it's just the paint. Doesn't affect functionality.

I had an E-bike that was 70lbs & I felt unstable so I opted for a trike. I watched HUNDREDS of videos, sold my other bike & bought a Mooncool.
I know it's heavy, but it's easy to move & can't really "fall over".
I'm in the late stages of COPD & emphysema & for most people that's the end of fun.
I don't have any money, still work for a living so I saved for about 8 mos & sold my other bike so I could buy a trike.

Things that were important to me...
1) Throttle without pedaling~for when I'm out of breath.
2) STABILITY...if I have a heavy bike fall over-I can't pick it up.
3) Gears-so I CAN pedal without getting breathless. (TK folding has no gears)
4) Reliability in battery...(I can't walk home)
5) Brakes, brake lights, GOOD lights all around.
6) COLOR (wanted a right color) not a need, but love it.

I'm overall happy with the trike & think it's a good investment in my health & happiness.

I LOVE MY NEW MOONCOOL TRIK!

I got this last Wednesday. I love everything about it. Easy assembly, took me 10 minutes to figure out how everything works and was on the road. 80 miles in the first 3 days. Feel very stable, with lots of hill climbing power.
